The Isis ROV has reached the Cayman Trough’s Beebe Vent Field at a depth of ~5 km (3.1 miles). After it was damaged in 2011, ESS repaired the starboard side buoyancy and replaced the port side package with 30-lb/ft3 material rated for 7,000 meters.
